- How is gender portrayed in the film? (For example, which gender(s) are the main characters? How are they socialized into their gender roles?)
- How are the characters socialized into their expected gender roles? (Females as feminine, etc.)
- How do they challenge gender roles?
- Overall, does the film promote gender roles or transgress them? How?
B. Race/Ethnicity – This section should be at least 1 page and contain at least four citations.
- How is race/ethnicity portrayed in the film? (For example, which racial/ethnic groups are the main characters vs. the additional cast?)
- How are racial stereotypes emphasized in the film? How are they challenged? Provide at least two examples of each.
- Are interracial (between races/ethnic groups) relationships recognized? How? Are they primarily friendships or are more intimate relationships present? What do other characters say (or not say) about them?
