Introduction and Conclusion:

Introductions and conclusions are the first and the last thing a reader will see of any essay you write. They are much more than the first and last paragraphs of your essay. The introduction presents your thesis and the context in which you will present your argument. The conclusion is a summation of your argument and how it has supported your thesis.

Assignment:

Pick one of your statements from Assignment #2 as your thesis for this exercise. This assignment will ask you to create two paragraphs. The first, the introductory paragraph, will serve to introduce the reader to your topic, your thesis, and the evidence you will use to support your thesis. The second, the concluding paragraph, will serve to wrap up your argument and remind the reader of your original  thesis.
