Homework: Write a short story of using all 10 words in proper context that clearly demonstrates the meaning of the word. The sentences should be about the book “The Things They Carried”. Sentences must be typed, properly capitalized, and complete (that is, no fragments). Sentences that contain comma splice run-on or run-on errors as well as apostrophe and semi-colon problems will be marked incorrect. And in writing these sentences, you must provide sufficient context to show that you understand how to use the word. Please set all grammatical subjects in bold font; underline all verbs (worth half a point for each sentence). After each sentence that contains a vocab word, indicate the sentence type (simple, compound, complex, compound-complex) (worth half a point for each sentence). As always, all sentences must be your own and your story should work to flow together as best as possible. I will grade down if you don’t follow the above instructions. And you can’t make up the sentence types if you don’t include them the first time.
