The Hotel will remain in occupation&nbsp;whilst the works are carried out.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;There are existing single-storey out-houses and maintenance stores on the site that need to be&nbsp;demolished to make way for the new bedrooms. A preliminary ground investigation report has&nbsp;identified areas of contamination to the north-west corner of the site.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The client requires the new building to be low maintenance and sustainable in order to minimise&nbsp;running costs and to ensure a good return on their investment over the long term.&nbsp;<br><strong>&nbsp;Task&nbsp;<\/strong>You are scheduled to have a meeting with the client to discuss the importance of the early design&nbsp;stage decisions and your role in ensuring a successful project delivery. In a report to the client:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;a. Critically evaluate the need to consider site and design factors affecting this project and their&nbsp;impact on the initial costs of construction and long term operating and lifecycle costs.&nbsp;&nbsp;(approximate word count 800 words)&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;b. Critically review the various methods of cost estimating that could be used to provide&nbsp;appropriate cost advice prior to the preparation of detailed drawings. You must also critically&nbsp;discuss the factors that will have to be considered when choosing appropriate cost information.&nbsp;&nbsp;(approximate word count 800 words)&nbsp;&nbsp;<br>Note: The format to be used for your submission should be that of a report, including sketches and&nbsp;examples to aid your explanation. Please state any assumptions clearly within the report.
