Advocacy for human well-being and social justice for marginalized and vulnerable populations are professional attributes of social work across levels (micro\/meso\/macro) of practice. Macro practice social work examines and critiques social structures, systems, and policies through community organizing, policy analysis and advocacy, and program planning and implementation in order to dismantle oppression, inequity, and 33 poverty. \u25cf Identifies three personal, cultural, and\/or professional values held by the student. those values are self determination to promote social justice,education, being caring and helpful toward others with any background, truthfulness (honesty) and respect. Those values are connected to how i was raised as a haitian black woman. I was raised to be respectful of others, to always be truthful even if that truth is hurtful and etc. Education has always been important in my life which has helped me to chose the career path i am on right now as a social work student. MY parent has never been to college so it has always been up to me to have better education and make a difference in the world.
