D., &amp; Jacobus, L. A. (2018). The humanities through the arts. New York: McGraw-Hill Education.)<\/strong><\/li><li>Lessons: Week 1, 2, 3<\/li><li>Minimum of 1 scholarly source (in addition to the textbook)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Instructions<br><\/strong>This week you will use your readings from the past two weeks as a point of departure to create your own artistic production and a reflection paper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Part 1: Art Creation<br><\/strong>Select one of the visual art pieces from Chapters 1-6 or the lessons from Weeks 1-3 to use as a point of inspiration. Create a painting, sculpture, drawing, or work of architecture inspired by your selected art piece.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Part 2: Reflection<br><\/strong>Write a reflection about the relationship between your art production and the inspiration piece. Include the following in the reflection paper:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Introduction<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Inspiration Piece<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>oInclude image.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>oRecord the title, artist, year, and place of origin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>oBriefly explain the background of the inspiration piece.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Your Art Piece<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>oInclude image.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>oProvide a title.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>oExplain the background of your piece.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Connection<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>oExplain the thematic connection between the two pieces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>oHow are they similar and different?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>oAre they the same medium?
