These documents are still relevant to understanding American government today. The Articles of Confederation, while no longer a governing document, provides a historic background to the division and sometimes still conflicting interests of the State and National governments. As you read chapter two, you should read these three important documents (Declaration of Independence, Articles of Confederation, and Constitution). The documents are all located in the textbook. After reading the documents answer the following questions in your essay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><\/strong><strong>Federalist or Anti-Federalists<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211; Please watch the video&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/mycourses.spcollege.edu\/content\/enforced\/144136-OFR_POS2041_1191_0535\/Foundations\/Video%20Empire%20of%20Reason%20(5704).html\" target=\"_blank\">Empire of Reason<\/a>, as you are watching evaluate the arguments for and against the Constitution and analyze how those arguments from 200 years ago apply to the United States today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/faculty.polytechnic.org\/gfeldmeth\/chart.fed.pdf\">http:\/\/faculty.polytechnic.org\/gfeldmeth\/chart.fed.pdf<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\nhttps:\/\/www.gilderlehrman.org\/history-resources\/teaching-resource\/differences-between-federalists-and-antifederalists\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Anti-Federalists vs. the Federalists \u2013 Briefly define the competing interests of the federalists and anti-federalists.<br><\/li><li>Identify one argument from each side stated in the video and explain the importance of this concern then and now. Please be specific in your identifications and applications.<br><\/li><li>Which position (federalist or anti-federalist) do you find more persuasive and why?<br><\/li><li>What did the United States gain from this debate and what questions have remained?&nbsp;<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Once you have posted your response, the other students&#8217; responses will appear.
