In addition, papers should address the impact of inequities\/stressors from a physiological, psychological, or emotional perspective.&nbsp; Social actions and behavioral interventions for reducing\/eliminating inequities and related stressors and health consequences must also be addressed.&nbsp; Evaluation criteria include the following: (a) identification of ethnic\/cultural group, structured inequalities association with selected ethnic\/cultural group, political, historical, economic, and\/or social processes that have produced diversity, equality and\/or structured inequality, related stressors and health consequences, and constructive individual\/social action(s) that have led to greater equality and social injustice; (b) synthesis, critical analysis and application of the literature; (c) adherence to the assignment guidelines; (d) citations, references, and format; (e) syntax, grammar, and spelling;&nbsp; (f) originality and creativity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Guidelines:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Review paper (4-6<em>&nbsp;pages<\/em>, double-spaced)<\/li><li><em>Citing a minimum of five academic peer-reviewed journals<\/em>.&nbsp;<\/li><li>APA format<\/li><li>Title page and reference page<\/li><li>Organize your sections \u2013 develop an outline \u2013 use paragraph or section headers<\/li><li><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Papers should include a synopsis, analysis, and application of current research as reported in the literature. In addition, papers should address the impact of inequities\/stressors from a physiological, psychological, or emotional perspective.&nbsp; Social actions and behavioral interventions for reducing\/eliminating inequities and related stressors and health consequences must also be addressed.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Evaluation criteria<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(1) synthesis, critical analysis and application of the literature;<br>(2) adherence to the assignment guidelines;<br>(3) citations, references, and format;<br>(4) syntax, grammar, and spelling;&nbsp;<br>(5) originality and creativity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;It will be important to:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Relate to class topics, readings, discussions, and social lines of identity in some way<\/li><li>History of research<\/li><li>Define the field and the topic \u2013 what type of research is being done<\/li><li>Breakdown and analyze each journal article \u2013 purpose, hypothesis, goals, results, implications<\/li><li>It would be wise to choose a narrow group&nbsp; &#8211; be specific \u2013 lbgt low SES for example<\/li><li>Use section headers wherever possible&nbsp;<\/li><li>Include grading rubric<\/li><li>Health outcomes, stressors,&nbsp;risk factors&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Students are required to cite at least five (5) primary sources (i.e. academic journal articles, etc.) in the paper (APA Style)<\/em><strong>. Use .gov sites and no profits.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Topic Chosen:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Asian-American X female, teens (HS), ages 14-18, body images&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Asian-American X female, middle-aged adults, ages 35-64, depression&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I chose my gender and ethnicity because it is something I also identify as, female and Vietnamese.&nbsp; The age groups and the illness I have chosen were ages 14-18 and 35-64 and illnesses being body images and depression.
