How did buildings promote a ruler\u2019s power and identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In your submission, describe the building and connect it to the theme. Why does this building make a good example of the theme? What do you need to tell your reader about the building in order for theme to see the connection between the theme and this building?&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Guidelines for each of the first three submissions:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Describe why this building is a good example of the theme. Things you might discuss: the use of space [plan], the setting, the typology and function, role of the patrons, architectural design, structure and materials, etc. Write between 600 &#8212; 800 words.<\/li><li>Include at least 3 sources for each entry. These must be reputable sources &#8212; either peer-reviewed or from an academic source. Include a bibliography at the bottom of each entry with the sources in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/guides.library.utoronto.ca\/c.php?g=251103&amp;p=1741147\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Chicago Manual of StyleLinks to an external site.<\/a>&nbsp;format. A URL is not a bibliographic entry, and will not count. You do not need to footnote.<\/li><li>Include at least two images for each entry.
