You&nbsp;<em>must<\/em>&nbsp;cite all information (both the text and outside sources) in all responses. Failure to do so will result in a substantial deduction to your grade. Please note that when citing outside work the sources should be empirical (see any of the rubrics for a description of this word). This means that .com web-sites (for example) are not empirical; and in fact, they are likely based on fiction.<br>Each discussion board is worth 15 points. To earn full credit, make sure to answer&nbsp;<em>all<\/em>&nbsp;of the questions AND include at least one outside empirical source in the form of a peer-reviewed journal article. This will likely require you to access the Forsyth Library (which is free). Make sure to search for &#8220;peer-reviewed&#8221; and &#8220;article.&#8221; This&nbsp;<em>should&nbsp;<\/em>eliminate the non-empirical stuff. Don&#8217;t forget to cite (in-text and at the end) using APA style. Your first post must be submitted by Wednesday of the open week. Failure to meet the first Wednesday deadline will result in an automatic two-point deduction. You must also respond to at least two other students by the close of the discussion board.<strong>Here is the discussion board question:<\/strong><strong>During this week, you have read about juvenile justice issues. Explain why it is important for criminal justice actors to be aware of adolescent brain development. Based on what you knew\/now know about this, take a stance on the age in which someone should be charged as an adult and explain why you picked this age.
