Discuss this quote in relation to land rights, the politics of recognition, and Canadian sovereignty.  Explain how Indigenous peoples are enfranchised into the Canadian nation and how immigrants and non-white settlers were, and still are, complicit in the process of Indigenous dispossession. Are refugees, migrants and undocumented workers settlers? Justify your response. How and why are treaties imperative (or not) to Canadian sovereignty and Indigenous sovereignty? Critically integrate readings into your response.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
