Information<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Family environment is, for nearly every human being, a predominant element that affects emotional and psychological well-being, individual decision-making, and social behaviors through the stages of life.  Within this framework, parenting style is a determining factor in children’s development and life outcomes (e.g., Alavi & Ramezani, 2021; Cho & Braaten, 2021; Mosier, 2022; Simons & Sutton, 2021).  How much so merits a review of a notable emerging theory and application. For this assignment, in the context of criminal behaviors and\/or unjust experiences, we examine the contemporary discussion on the “gentle” or “intentional” style of parenting.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As children, you have all experienced some level of parenting and will likely take on the important parent role in the near future (if not already).  It behooves each of us to gain a detailed understanding of parenting practices and apply the best approaches to raising emotionally and psychological self-regulated offspring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Towards that objective, please assess the philosophy and logic of the information presented within the recent 35-minute podcast on “The Promises of ‘Gentle Parenting<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

 (Links to an external site.)<\/a>.” on the April 6, 2022 edition of the 1A -WAMU<\/em> program on National Public Radio (NPR). The panelists for this podcast are Jenn White (1A <\/em>– WAMU <\/em>host, journalist, podcaster), Mercedes Samudio, MSW (licensed social worker, parenting coach, author), Mona Delahooke, Ph.D. (child psychologist, author), and Destiny Bennet (parenting coach, blogger, author).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
