Students will also submit (using P930.19 Student Handout 1) the Literature Review Matrix (see Appendix A for example) with Milestone 2. How to prepare for Milestone submission: \u2022 Make necessary revisions based on Milestone 1 feedback. \u2022 Compile the Literature Review Matrix (see Appendix A) using a minimum of three scholarly sources which were published within the last five (5) years. \u2022 Develop the Research Proposal which may include: o A problem statement on the selected global leadership and workforce development issue. o Explanation of the following: \uf0a7 Why the issue exists. \uf0a7 Points of contention. \uf0a7 Leadership, management, and workforce stand-points on key issues related to the problem. \uf0a7 Why the organization is successful or not. \uf0a7 Why specific resources or research strategies were or will be used. \u2022 The beginning of the research proposal might follow the example format below. Background of the problem: There\u2019s has been a significant increase of employees quitting their jobs in the manufacturing of textiles in the state of Texas in the first year of employment during 2015 and 2017 (Cite here; at end of the sentence). Anchor: Empirical research by XXX Illustrate that two out of five employees abandon their employment in the manufacturing of textiles in the state of Texas in the first year of employment because of XXX (Cite here, at end of the sentence). General Problem: Textile manufacturing employees who quit their job in the first year of employment cause a significant decrease in the business profitability aspect. Specific Problem: Textile manufacturing employees that quit their job in the first year have a direct effect in recruiting, training, retention, and compensation efforts of the organization. Mentor Responsibilities: \u2022 Evaluate reliability, validity, and credibility of references on the Literature Review Matrix. \u2022 Discuss the last two columns (Controversies\/Disagreements; Implications for Future Research) of the Literature Review Matrix. \u2022 Provide substantive feedback on research proposal.
