By identifying a PICO question and&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>searching the evidence, students can identify and describe existing evidence, discover new information, classify data with the goal of providing quality, safe patient care. Through this assignment you will create a plan\/proposal. You are not conducting research, rather you are developing skills that enable you as a nurse to identify a problem or a research question and take steps to change or improve practice.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Group PICO Question Working as a collaborative group, students will develop a PICOT question on a topic of their choosing related to clinical nursing. This question will direct the literature search to find supporting evidence.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;Table of Evidence A table of evidence provides a summary of a research article in a format that includes the research purpose, methods, sampling, findings, and key information. Each member of the group must contribute and appraise at least one article to the table of evidence. Members will work together to determine the best available evidence to include in the table of evidence. The table of evidence should include between 7-10 articles of no more than 7 years from the following: No more than one credible website database Nursing journals (maximum of at least 4) Interdisciplinary journals&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;Synthesis Abstract Students will synthesize current evidence on their topic of choice. A one page 500-word abstract and a separate list of references are to be included. The synthesis of the evidence should reflect what is common among the evidence and indicate important differences.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;Mentor Meetings Agenda(s) Each group meeting with their mentor should take place during the semester at least once via zoom. Further communication can occur by email or additional meetings at the convenience of all team members. Groups must prepare the agenda before the meeting and complete after the meeting has taken place.
