The needs of vulnerable groups, including those of the Canadian Indigenous Peoples, refugee and new immigrant populations are examined. Additionally, this project promotes and enhances the importance of culturally sensitive care, which is essential to practice culturally competent nursing care. The student will demonstrate the ability to research and understand culturally sensitive care and the required cultural humility and how it will affect the care they will provide. The student will examine the perspective of \u2018health\u2019, illness and disease\u2019 for the selected vulnerable groups and identify the needs of these groups. the roles of family and the member within the circle of care.
