Counseling Program Students Prompt:
Given your own personal cultural experiences and reflecting on the multicultural counseling competencies, identify and describe three strengths you bring to multicultural counseling. Within the same context, identify and describe three areas for improvement you have that could prevent you from being a culturally competent counselor. For those areas that need improvement, explain how you will seek out educational, consultative, and training experiences that can address these limitations. Please see rubric attached to help you address all requirements. Your response should be 5-6 pages typed, double spaced and should adhere to APA format. Include a title page and cite all sources used. Include a reference page. Your reference page and title page should not be included in the page limit. Be sure to proofread and edit your paper for typos, spelling, syntax and grammar errors prior to submitting for grading. Your paper is due by 11:55pm EST on Sunday of week 1.
