For this project, you will create FOUR individual fact sheets focusing on 4 of the institutions and industries explored within this module. Your informative creations should be engaging and educational resources to help others understand how gender-based violence, sexual violence, sexual harrassment, and institutional neglect exist within several institutions/industries.
This assignment is in lieu of weekly writing exercises or weekly quizzes covering each institution and industry. You should take extensive notes on the course content throughout the module in order to prepare to complete this assignment. Follow the steps below to complete the assignment.
- Select FOUR institutions out of the 8 we’ve studied:
Colleges/Universities U.S. Politics/Capitol Hill
U.S. Military Hollywood/Entertainment Industry
SportsWorld Porn Industry
Prison Industrial Complex Catholic Church
- Using Canva, Adobe Spark, Google Docs/Slides, or Microsoft Word/PowerPoint, create a series of fact sheets (or Instagram-style slideshows) that highlight important information from the course materials and/or outside sources (please cite). EACH fact sheet must include:
- Brief introduction to the institution and its history with violence (200-250 words)
- 5-7 statistics or facts about the institution and violence
- Description of one real story or case related to the institution
- Information about one organization/initiative addressing violence within the institution
- A citation page, citing the course materials and any other sources
