You are going to be writing a Researched Argument Paper in which you choose one of the sides that you have researched and create a persuasive argument meant to convince your readers to adopt that side. You have already done the research part of this when you completed your Annotated BIbliography with Introduction (ABI). You will actually be using your annotations to assist you in writing your paragraphs, so have your ABI handy. As a note of caution, you will be presenting multiple sides of the issue, and you will be presenting counter-arguments and refutations for the sides that you did not choose. You will be concentrating on the rhetorical and argumentative strategies that the authors representing the different sides use in order to provide those refutations and counter-arguments. You will want to think of this in terms of strengths and weaknesses, NOT good or bad. You will also be adding a primary source to your paper, and I explain that next, so don’t forget to read that page in this module.
