Please see attached readings- This paper 1. To turn your assignment in, go to Blackboard, click on “Learning Activities,” scroll down to Week 9, and click on the underlined link at the top of the week that reads: “Week 9 – Theology and Evaluation.”
2. If you want to read the rubric, you can click on it there. Otherwise, upload your completed assignment in a format compatible with Blackboard (.doc, .docx, .pdf). Do NOT submit a file type I can’t open or a link to a Google doc. Make sure your essay is in double-spaced 12-point Times New Roman font with 1-inch margins.
3. Make sure your essay is 3 pages long or almost 3 pages long. Make sure your introductory paragraph includes a definition of carpe diem, establishes your criteria, and ends with a strong thesis statement. Make sure your thesis statement declares whether carpe diem is GOOD or BAD from a religious perspective. Make sure that your first paragraph after your introduction is a paragraph that acknowledges an opposing view. Make sure your body paragraphs address 2 reasons that support your thesis. Remember, a concluding paragraph is optional. Make sure you support your points with quotations from the texts and that those quotations are properly cited. Make sure you have a Works Cited or References page depending on whether or not you are using MLA or APA formatting.
4. Above is not a comprehensive list of everything you need. You can only get that by coming to class and listening to the lectures. It’s just a list to remind you to do things that you might forget. ***Please see attached***
5. If you need extra time to turn it in, that’s fine, but don’t fall too far behind or it will be very difficult to catch up again. If you are lost, confused, or discouraged about getting your work done, I STRONGLY suggest going to the writing center. They can help you on any assignment for this class whether you’re just starting or almost done.
