Analyze from an anthropological perspective the election of Donald Trump as president of the U.S. in 2016 and its aftermath. What did Trump’s victory indicate about the culture of the United States? What cultural or ethnic groups support Mr. Trump? Which ones oppose him? Why do these groups support or oppose him? Additionally, do you think that the U.S. culture has changed as a result of Trump’s election? Did the relationship between the U.S. (and U.S. culture) and the rest of the world change as a result of Trump’s victory?
