For this assignment, please write a response paper based on the following:

After reading Poe’s ‘The Cask of Amontillado,” write about your reaction to the events of the story.  

• Did you anticipate the ending of the story?
• What parallels can you create between Poe’s life (you have to view the video in the module) and the events in the story?
• Why do you think he wrote the story?
• Discuss your overall thoughts/opinions/reactions.

REMEMBER:

1. Use MLA format (proper heading/title/page numbers/header, etc.).
2. If you cite from the story, you must use in-text citations.
3. If you have in text citations, you must include a “Work Cited” page.
4. If you use a “Work Cited” page, be sure to Google “how to cite a short story.”  *Use your MLA reference guide link in the top module of the course.
5. Your paper should be no longer than two pages.
