The background and significance help explain the content of your study’s proposal and why it is important. See the description of this assignment below for your critical assignment. Then to complete this week’s task, answer the following questions in APA format and it should be at least 2 pages in length.
CRITICAL ASSIGNMENT PROMPT – Section 3: Background and Significance (DO NOT ANSWER FOR YOUR REVIEW): Provide background information about your project. State the relevance of the topic and project type, as well as how this topic relates to other courses. State which courses your project aligns with and provide a detailed perspective of the topic and its relation to future work in strategic communication and the program.

1) Provide the background related to your topic. This should provide a complete overview of the topic and why it is relevant to study as a case analysis or a creative project for this paper. Make sure to include the following:
To that end, while there are no hard and fast rules, you should attempt to deal with some or all of the following:
- State the topic and give a more detailed explanation about the purpose of the case study then what you stated in the introduction. This is particularly important if the problem is complex or multifaceted.
- Present the rationale of your proposed case study and clearly indicate why it is worth doing. Answer the “So What? question [i.e., why should anyone care].
- Describe the major issues or problems to be addressed by your research.
- Explain how you plan to go about conducting your research. Clearly identify the key sources you intend to use and explain how they will contribute to your analysis of the topic.
- Set the boundaries of your proposed research in order to provide a clear focus.
- If necessary, provide definitions of key concepts or terms.
2) Explain the significance of this topic and how it addresses the needed area of discussion in strategic communication.
- Why is the topic significant the scope of your entire program of study?
- Explain how this topic relates to communication and the significance it holds.
