Research Critique

Purpose:

The purpose of this assignment is to further acclimate you to employing peer-reviewed journals to write research-based papers.  Moreover, this assignment will help you to develop critical analysis skills in taking a nuanced look at the multiple causes and underlying issues specific to the discipline of social work. Lastly, this assignment will also help you to learn how to work with others in developing professional relationships, how to professionally prepare presentations, present data, and draw logical conclusions.

Instructions:

Select your topic (it must be approved prior to you starting your research)

Define in your words what this field of social work entails.

Literature review: Review one to two peer-reviewed journals and your textbook and write a critique on what you discovered about your topic.

Review of your selected field place of employment (field of social work) Discuss interviews and or reviews of literature you received regarding your field of study. In light of our current situation and the quarantine please use the literature or website information from your selected place of field employment versus the in-person interview.

Summary: compare the information you received between your literature review and your physical review along with your initial thoughts about this field of study.

Conclusion: What are your thoughts about the one you have chosen? Do you think you could successfully work in this environment?  What type of characteristics would a person need to work in this field of social work.
