Writing Topic: “SHOULD MICE BE USED FOR PROSTATE CANCER RESEARCH”?
Last week’s assignment focused on the art of crafting an argument supported by fact. This week we continue to focus on writing well supported arguments (we will start writing full essays, with all components, next week). Drawing from the notes you jotted down last week in outline format, I ask that you write what is effectively 3/5 of a full argumentative essay. Specifically, I would like you to focus on writing out an introduction (1 paragraph) and two fact-based arguments (~2-4 paragraphs) supporting your ethical position. You do not need to write a counter-argument or conclusion this week; As stated, the goals is for you to focus on presenting your arguments. I have altered the writing topic slightly from last week’s to allow you to provide context-specific arguments.
Note: you only need to write an introduction and the 2 argument sections.
Page length: 1-1.5pg, double spaced (We will deduct points for essays longer than 2 pages). Reference list is not counted in page limit.
