Summative Assessment 2 – Individual written report: To help a struggling retailer, 2500 words (+/- 10%) (60% TMM) Friday, week 12, 23.95
Students will carry out individually an in-depth case analysis and submit a report, with relevant business solutions to a struggling retailer, from any part of the world. This will test student’s ability to apply retail marketing and channel management appropriate theories and make good use of the analytical tools relevant to retailing and channel management and sound data collection, problem solving and analytical skills in order to propose pertinent solutions to global retail problems.
Students will analyse a real company operating within the retailing industry, identify areas of improvement and provide a set of recommendations. Students are required to: (a) select a real company to analyse; (b) select critical areas to analyse; (c) undertake secondary and/or primary research; (d) apply theories, models, frameworks discussed during the module or explained in the readings to the real world case; (e) if appropriate, explain and provide critical comments on operational procedures; (f) as a result of their analysis, identify aspects that can be improved; (g) formulate a set of solutions and recommendations on how the chosen company can improve on the identified weak aspects.

Good writing skills are needed. |
How do I produce high quality work that merits a 70% or above grade? CW2- Your report needs to include strong critical and analytical thinking. You need to be able to collect data effectively and make sense of it in order to provide pertinent pertinentsolutions to global retail problems. You need strong analytical and writing skills. |
