• Brief: A written summary of a case.
• It consists of:
  1. The essential facts (what happened between the parties and, if the case has been appealed, the decision of the court)
  2. The issue(s) to be resolved
  3. The court’s resolution of the issue(s)
  4. The rationale for the court’s decision.
• Connect the above elements of the brief to various information learned in the course, citing the information from the textbook, etc.
• The body of the paper should be an approximately 5-page Word document, using APA formatting (1 inch margins, double-spaced, and in Times New Roman 12 point font). The assignment should also include a title page and reference page.
