STASTICAL PROCEDURES THAT MUST BE USED ARE

1)  Principal Access Factoring (PAF)

2) Direct Oblimin (Oblique Rotation)

3) Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin’s (KMO) value – above .60

4) Bartlett’s Test of Sphericity

5) Minimum criteria for keeping Items:

                                                               – Each item loads on one main factor

                                                               – Little or no correlation with the other two factors

                                                               – Communalities greater or equal to .2

                                                               – Removal of Cross Loadings below .4

6) Must include two tables: 1 must be a descriptive statistics table for the new scale factors and validity measures (Extraversion, Comparative Risk, Satisfaction with Life & LOT-R). Other table must be an Intercorrelation Matrix between the new scale factors and the validity measures.
