Psychology experiment

Two Qeustions:
1. In class, we discussed instruction, imitation, and reinforcement as three ways that children might learn the syntactic rules of their language.
Describe two of these three proposals (your choice) and summarize the key evidence against each. (4 points for each proposal description x 2 + 4 points for each evidence description x 2 = 16 points)
Then, answer the following question: Do these findings support or refute that we are born with a “universal grammar” or “language instinct”? Explain why or why not. (2 point for support vs. refute answer + 2 point for the explanation = 4 points)
2.A person is studying for a psychology test. She has the following three questions about how best to study:
(a) Should she try to learn the terms by focusing on their meaning or by thinking of words that they rhyme with?
(b) If she plans to have caffeine right before the test, should she drink caffeine while studying or not?
(c) If the test is going to involve short-answer questions, should she study by taking practice multiple-choice questions or by writing out key concepts?
Answer two of her three questions (your choice) (4 points per answer x 2 answers = 8 points).
Please justify your two answers based on the research on memory that we have covered in class (6 points per justification x 2 answers = 12 points). More specifically, for each answer, please (1) identify and describe the memory principle that is most relevant to the question and (2) explain how it supports your answer.
