Topic: Colonialism in Africa: Education
In Units 5 and 6, educational game design was presented. Use educational gaming technologies to design and develop one or more activities that will help you teach some aspect of your chosen topic (as stated, the topic is Colonialism in Africa: Education)
Your task for this project is to design and develop an activity using one of these technologies to teach another of the sub-topics you have identified for this project. This project should include the following elements:
Please write and label each section in the paper as outlined below: Sub-Topics, Objectives, Instructions, Activity
1. Sub-Topic(s) #3: Describe this sub-topic(s) in detail and explain why you have chosen to use this particular choice of technologies (I will be using Raptivity to create a quiz), from the first two units to develop an instructional activity. How does this type of technology support what you are trying to teach in this part of your project? What is the significance of this technology in teaching and learning?
2. Objectives: Create at least three correctly formatted learning objectives for this activity. What should learners be able to demonstrate that they know or can do after completing this activity?
3. Instructions: Provide instructions to the learners on how they should complete the activity. Make sure to explain all steps learners should take to complete this activity from beginning to end. You will submit these first three items as a separate Word document that uses correct APA formatting.
4. Activity: Using the chosen technology (I will be using ‘Raptivity’ to build a question and answer activity), create a 5 question quiz on Colonialism in Africa: Education (You will need to create 5 multiple choice questions and answers. Each question should have 4 answers and please indicate in BOLD which is the correct answer by using the A,B,C,D labeling method for the answers).
Here a short summary of Colonialism in Africa: Education that i wrote in my Porject Overview:
Education: The colonizers got rid of African education and replaced it with the western education. This affected many since many cannot do anything apart from waiting for white color jobs. It is linked to the other sub-topic since these have collectively contributed to African poverty and it gave prominence to civil society to address the plight of the people. The individual project will combine to offer a rounded lesson on what is the current problem with the African education, what happened to it in relation to colonization and what can be done now to address the effects of colonization in relation to education in Africa.
I will upload a sample file of what the project should look like from a structural standpoint, even though the topic is different.
