You will be determining the climate classification for one specific location. Using this questions section heading/ detail suggestions to write essay (2-pages):

1. Determine the Climate Classification of Nha Trang, Vietnam using the Koppen Climate Classification system. Why did you choose this designation? Are there ant variations to the climate(s) of this area? Aka microclimates? If so, what are they?

2. Detail the various types of vegetation unique and abundant to the area.

3. List and describe the flora and fauna exclusive to the area; why do you think these specific plants and animals are bountiful to the area?

4. What are all the contributing factors that make up the climate?

a. Heating (latitudinal, oceanic currents, albedo (remember this can be cloud cover too), topography, air masses, humidity, jet stream, etc.

b. Precipitation (pressure systems, atmospheric circulation patters, topography)

       i.     Notice topography is bolded, this is an important factor for both heating and precipitation in this region!

5. Describe any interactions between converging air masses and the pressure systems; how is this affecting the climate of the region?

6. What are the main mechanisms at play for the creation of this climate?  How would you feel about living in a climate like this?
