Thomas Nagel claims that in order to have moral responsibility for our actions, there need to be alternative possibilities for what we do. But that doesn’t seem to be the case. Harry Frankfurt, though, claims that alternative possibilities are irrelevant to moral responsibility. Explain. Do not include your own views on the subject or your reactions to the readings. They belong only in the Discussions. Remember the authors are trying to solve problems and convince their audience that they have the best solutions. They are not merely expressing opinions.
