Expectations of femininity and feminine roles can be seen in many of the texts we have read. Choose two texts where female characters resist these expectations. Is their resistance successful?  Discuss in depth the expectations, the resistance, and what this all shows. Remember to compare and contrast the resistance the characters show. (Please be careful not to just write two separate analyses – choose texts carefully, so you can discuss them together in a useful way and make one strong thesis that includes both.)
