Discussion Question:

      Based on the assigned reading, analyze how South American Andeans–i.e., immigrants from the countries of Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, and Bolivia–used cultural networks and organizations for adaptation and survival in U.S. communities.  To what extent did this result in the development of a regional, or multiple Andean Latino identity, in addition to (or instead of) one based solely on the country of birth?
