One of the leading issues in criminal justice in the 21st Century is the topic of Multiculturalism. Research the topic and how it pertains to the criminal justice system. Please consider the following questions when composing your answer to this week’s question. There are several good videos on YouTube discussing this but they are mostly from a sociological point of view.
- What does the term mean to you?
- Do you believe that different cultures have different expectations form the criminal justice system?
- Should you be aware of the variety of cultures that may exist in your community? Why?
- What will you do as a future criminal justice professional to prepare yourself for the differences in cultures that you will encounter?
