These are no longer the wildly entertaining and zany characters of part one of the novel, but rather characters that have evolved because of their experiences. Cervantes was a true literary genius, a master storyteller, who provided for his readers not flat, one-dimensional characters, but very “round” and developed characters who make the reader reflect on their own humanity and actions.
