You may choose one video (at the theater or a video/DVD) or a book/novel of your choice. Write a paper in which you summarize the movie or book (1 page summary maximum) and then apply a minimum of 5 (five) concepts from the textbook to the movie or book in 4-5 additional pages (therefore a total of 5 – 6 pages in length). Each concept should be distinctly labeled and numbered. You should define the concept and also elaborate on how the concept indeed applies to the film/book. Do not assume your reader will see the same connections you do therefore you must clearly explain your views. It is the student’s responsibility to demonstrate an understanding of the concept and its application.
Your paper should be typewritten, using 12-point font, double-spaced, and submitted as either a “pdf”, “doc”, or “docx” file document. Your paper should have a title at the beginning, stating Minority/Majority Concept Application Paper. It should have an introduction section called Introduction. Finally, you should write an integrative conclusion summarizing your paper called Conclusion. Any in-text references to material from another source (such as your textbook as you incorporate concepts or theories) need to be appropriately cited using APA format. Therefore, you will also need to include a references page.
