Final Project Directions
The final project should demonstrate understanding of the reading assignments as well as the implications of new knowledge. The 6 – 8 page paper should integrate readings, class discussions, work/life experiences, and what you have learned about supervisory management and yourself. Your paper should include explanations and examples from previous experience as well as implications for future application. The focus of the final project requires that you synthesize your learning and reflection in the context of the course outcomes.
The paper, at a minimum, should include:
Description of yourself as a manager/supervisor utilizing a theory and/or leadership style.
- Your leadership style.
- Your leadership vision.
- Ethics and values as a manager/supervisor.
- Motivation, communication, and teamwork abilities.
- SWOT Analysis (strengths and weaknesses – what would you like to improve; what steps will you take to improve) – include graphical representation.
- Implications for future use.
Prepare a six to eight page (6-8) page paper (not including cover page and references) and a PowerPoint Presentation (not less than 12 slides; not including cover and references) analyzing your leadership style.
You must use a minimum of five sources and two sources must be extracted from the following:
1.) Journal articles.
The final project is due on the last day of class and must be written in APA format; be at least six – eight pages; double-spaced; and in 12-point font. The paper must contain cover page, introduction, and reference page. Do not count the cover page, introduction page, and reference page as part of the six to eight pages.
The PowerPoint Presentation should be at least 12 slides (not including cover and reference) summarizing the key points of your paper. Your PowerPoint must include one of the following:
- Incorporation of video clips (s).
- Incorporation of other multimedia (podcast; webcast; etc.).
