The METAVERSE is here and is a reality – even tho – it’s NOT real!!! I know – it’s confusing for most, BUT it’s a thing, and it’s here – for now – and we need to ensure we understand it. 

Below you will find a couple of pretty encompassing articles that FULLY explain what this new space is all about. Please read them and take notes as you see fit.

I am lucky because I get to speak to professionals in the world of sport daily, and they are ALL trying to figure out how to best position themselves to take advantage, not miss out or not get left behind within the Metaverse. 

For this Major Assignment, I would love to challenge you to devise a plan for a professional sports team, league or any other sports entity to enter the Metaverse.

*How will you diversify your revenue streams?

*Does this create new specialized roles within teams, organizations or leagues?

*Have we arrived at the point where fantasy leagues meet real life? 

*What type of challenges do this present to traditional revenue streams and, most importantly, traditional accounting methods?

*What type of NEW revenue streams do you see the Metaverse yielding?

*Is the Metaverse simply just an extra space where we can double our world and, of course, our revenue?
