Lyme Disease

This paper is a made-up case study of a “patient” who suffers from Lyme disease. The professor wanted us to pretend we were a neuropsychologist meeting a patient with Lyme disease and provide a very thorough:-background on the disease including symptoms, brain pathology, genetic links, neuropsychological performance, prognosis/rehabilitation strategies, and success-patient introduction: reason for referral, the presenting problem(can include functional limitations), medical/psychiatric history, family history, educational/occupational history, social history(married? children? what do they do for fun?), behavioral observations-patient background including the reason for visitation; types of symptoms; what the caregivers describe as symptoms (if accompanied by one); medications (if taking any); family medical history; patient’s appearance/behavior; job/home life/ history-medical/neurological findings (did the patient’s medical tests reveal anything of significance? could be a blood work test, physical, brain scan, genetic testing, etc.)-neuropsychological assessment including what tests were administered and how the patient did on them, what abilities seemed normal vs. deficient, etc. MUST PROVIDE SPECIFIC TESTS USED. (some results may have come back normal)-outcome (rehabilitation, long-term consequences, etc.)ARTICLES USED MUST BE PEER-REVIEWED AND ESSAY CAN NOT INCLUDE QUOTES!!!!!!
