Please be noted that this is not about book banning. This is about book “banning” because even if the school “bans” the books, students can read them online or buy the books by themselves and read them. 

I am currently making the presentation and it looks like about book banning because I included a brief history of book banning in the presentation. But that is because my teacher said I should include the background information. Therefore, slides 7-11 are more important than the 1-6. (Please check the attached file.)

My research questions are these. 

・Is book banning today different from the past? 

・Is book “banning” really book banning? 

・What would a librarian have to say about this? 

・What do big bookstore owners and little bookstore owners think about the book “banning”? 

・What’s Moms for liberty claim? 

・What the kids have to say about the books? 

・Are the media sources biased or not? 

I am eventually going to write a paper but I can not find good academic sources I can use to answer these research questions. Therefore,k I want you to help me with sources. I need 7 sources. I need 7 academic papers. 

It would be helpful if the paper is about the topic of parents wanting to ban books in the school library. A few can be about LGBTQ, gender identity, and book banning because of bad language (i.g. swear words and bad racist words). Race and language use in the books are also my topic so please be aware that gender is not the only paper you would find. I need papers about race and language use in novels. (It would be especially good if you could find papers about books like Catcher in the Rye and To Kill the mocking bird)
