Don’t do the oral part of the presentation just do the powerpoint based on the paper i will be providing you with. SUMMARIZE THE PAPER THATS ALL U HAVE TO DO.

Instructions

Students are required to produce an oral presentation of their capstone research paper* using PowerPoint and Zoom. The purpose of the oral presentation is to demonstrate effective oral communication skills through content/subject knowledge of a criminal justice related policy/topic, the organization of ideas, and the efficient delivery of information using verbal and nonverbal skills.

*The topic of your oral presentation must be the same as the topic for your capstone paper.

Preparing Your PowerPoint Presentation

Once your capstone paper is complete, you will prepare a PowerPoint presentation based on your paper that contains approximately 7-10PowerPoint slides. Note oral presentations should be no longer than 10 minutes. A general rule of thumb is one minute per PowerPoint slide. For your oral presentation, you will record a video of yourself giving your PowerPoint presentation in Zoom. Make sure to leave sufficient space in the top right of your PowerPoint slides to accommodate the Zoom video window.

Your PowerPoint presentation should begin with a brief overview of the policy including its history, background, goals, and implementation as well as your thesis statement. Next, you should briefly review the research literature evaluating the policy’s efficacy and discuss the main research findings. Based on the research review, conclude with recommendations for improvement and future directions for policymakers and/or criminal justice agents.

Students must prepare 7-10 PowerPoint slides summarizing their research paper and video record themselves giving their oral PowerPoint presentation via zoom. (Note a webcam is required to record video oral presentations)

Please make sure to include the thesis statement in the presentation.

Thesis Statement:
