The research paper should attempt to address the lack of the presence of alternative medicine in Canada in the form of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). The paper aims to first identify areas in western medicine where TCM can fill and how western medicine and TCM can be used as complementary in Canada rather than as a last resort. The paper would also try to identify if there has been a growing demand for TCM practices and steps the Canadian healthcare system can ensure the provision.

I am interested in this research topic because I have experienced and met people who have illnesses that western medicine has been unable to treat or has not had enough experience with, and I understand that TCM offers another approach to treating such illnesses without being invasive. I would like for you to explore solutions to questions that most people forget to address and answer the question of why should other forms of medicines be ignored when they can do what western medicine does with minimal effects.

Structure the paper by first introducing to the reader what TCM is and how widely practiced it is the availability of TCM in western countries, and the demand for TCM in recent years. The body of the paper will address the effectiveness of TCM in addressing diseases that are more rampant in recent years and also how TCM may contribute to ongoing research, and why it needs to be introduced into the Canadian healthcare system. To conclude the paper, analyze how effective this introduction may be in Canada given how the healthcare system is operated.

            With this sort of research topic, it is expected that the progress made by the Canada health authority may be offset however, using the resources to write this paper please provide a feasible solution or policy that can be made to accommodate TCM in Canadian. Should that policy proposal be enacted what are the implications the consumers of the healthcare system benefit due to more treatment options, for example, healthcare workers such as medical practitioners may have to create space for TCM experts, the government or healthcare authorities will have to change their operations to admit TCM which may increase operational costs.
