Students will locate an empirical research article (i.e., one that presents original research, not a review of others’ research) that is related to psychology. (Tip: An empirical research article usually consists of sections of Method, Results, and Discussion). Students must find a recent article (within 10 years) in academic journals such as Psychological Science. Students also need to turn in a copy of the original article.
The description of the study should include: the purpose of the study and its hypothesis, the type of research design (correlational or experimental), the variables, the demographic information of the participants, and the method employed.
