I will be introducing a special guest for an interview. Diana Guzman, please tell us a few things about yourself.
My name is Diana Guzman, I currently reside at 2512 Central Avenue, Union City, New Jersey 07087. The best way to contact me is by phone at (201) 914-4326 or via email at [email protected]
I am forty-four years old. I was born in Ecuador, and I migrated to the United States at eighteen with my father in March 1996. In 1997 I entered a vocational school (JobCord) to learn English and job training. While in that school, I learned English and got certified as a nurse assistant and receptionist.
In 1999 I graduated from JobCord and started working at a Restaurant for ten years, the first five years in the kitchen and the other five years in catering. During that time, in the winter of 2001, I enrolled atKean University to pursue my dream of getting a bachelor’s in Pre-Med; a semester later, I changed it to Biotechnology because I realized that if I didn’t get into med school, what I was supposed to do with a bachelor degree in PRE-MED, and by that time I was expecting my first child already, I needed something that allows me to support my child and less time in school. Eventually, I changed my mind for the second time from Biotechnologyto Medical Technology and the reason why was because I didn’t have the support I needed. I had so many expenses and didn’t have any economic permission from my child’s father.
In 2003 I enlisted in the New Jersey Army National Guard in a Medical Company; I served for eight years. In 2005 I got injured while training. I got better and managed to continue my job. In 2006 I had my second child at the age of 29.
In 2008 we were activated for deployment OIF5 Bucca – Iraq as military police. In 2009 my injuries got worse while in Iraq, and this cause my honorable medical discharge from the National Guard in 2011.
In May of 2008, I got my degree of bachelor’s Science in Medical Technology from Kean University. I choose this profession for the reasons I explained earlier.
I started my internship at Valley Hospital and after a while, I got hired to work there as a Part-time general medical technology. Then I apply and got accepted to work in LabCord from 2012 to 2014.
After some time, I received an offer to work at Diagnostica Stago INC. as a Hotline agent, which I accepted, and I have been there from 2014 to the present. I am part of the field service support department, which includes the following:
