Essay Directions
In this essay you will take a position on the current main economic issue and relate it to an economic assumption that you’ve learned about in this class. You will collect research from several
sources such as journal articles, websites, or videos, as well as any additional supporting
information that you can find such as charts and tables with supporting data. You will synthesize
your findings in a five-paragraph essay that explains how your research relates to the economic
assumption covered in class.
Please review the following requirements carefully.
In this essay you will:
- identify your position on the economic issue,
- select an economic assumption related to ECO2013 course materials,
- explain the findings from the research study regarding the assumption, and
- analyze, evaluate, and synthesize these findings in terms of economic assumption.
Your essay must include:
- A cover page and reference list;
- At least five paragraphs, including an introduction and conclusion;
- Several types of sources for your information such as journal articles, websites, or
- videos
- Additional supporting information such as tables or charts of supporting data can be
- included.
- All ideas from outside sources must be cited in APA Style.
The essay must be 500-1200 words in length. The essay document must be submitted in
Microsoft Word format by the date listed in the Schedule of Activities.
