Use the Internet to search freight brokerage websites for accessorial fee lists. You should be able to find them by entering the term “accessorial fees” into your favorite search engine. If you wish, add the name of your state if you want to see which fees local brokers list.

Let’s say that you’ve just opened a brokerage, and you’re deciding which service to use to run credit checks on shippers. Research three companies on the Internet that provide credit ratings. Study their websites, and see what different services they offer, what their fees are, and so on. Decide which one you will use. Then write a paragraph that explains:
- Which agency you chose
- Why you chose that one
- What you like about the company
- How much you would have to pay for the service
