Reflecting our theme in our upcoming third unit of the course, “Living together,” your assignment is to identify, learn about, and report on the work of a group, company, or organization (which we’ll call here just “group,” for short) that you find to be impressive or significant today. We’re looking for a group that is working to further some moral, social, or political cause that you judge to be important. Examples could include Greenpeace, the United Nations, the Daily Wire, the Federalist Society, the ACLU, Yale Repertory Theater, Democracy Now, the Green Party, the Libertarian Party, Naropa University – you’ll see that this is a highly diverse list, and that is intentional. Please learn about the history of your chosen group, it’s current operations, and how it manages to be effective in the work it does. Make sure to include discussion of at least two primary source documents from the group, which could include reports, press releases, public statements or speeches by its leaders, etc.
