Explain the legal, ethical, and clinical limitations for forensic psychologist in the three different roles?
This is what I wrote so far, I didnt incorperate all 3 but it needs to have legal clinical and ethical for each, Forensic research psychologist,Correctional counselors and jury consultants. Please follow dirrections
There are many legal, ethical, and clinical limitations for forensic psychologists no matter what subspecialty they are working under; it’s just a matter of following guidelines and the standards they are expected to follow. Forensic research psychologist must take precaution in order to not distort or modify any information collected including no withholding any relevant evidence. They must avoid misrepresenting and not making any premature conclusions in addition to representing their credentials (Yadav, 2017).
Correctional counselors face many ethical decision making situations, there are a lot of do’s and don’ts that come with working at a correctional facility such as engaging in sexual relationships with the inmates, discrimination and even bringing contraband into the facility where it may be distributed.
For jury consultants it may be the unfairness and bias, impressions that a favorable verdict could be bought with the selected jury shouldn’t be implied. It is a forensic psychologists duty to report information as accurate as possible and be completely transparent in their occupation no matter the role they possess.
