Expository Essay

Write an expository, compare/contrast, or argument essay, using one of the listed readings. Select one of the readings listed above. Develop a suitable topic that is applicable to the reading and a subject that you personally find interesting. Remember: if you are not interested in the topic, your audience will lose interest in reading your essay. The essay must include a thesis and three claims, and, if the essay is an argument, it must include a counterargument. You may not write a summary of the reading or an author biography. You may quote liberally from the reading as this is your primary source and cite the information. When using research material, please paraphrase and cite the sources.
