The Term Paper is a 5-page (double spaced) paper that discusses one item we have discussed in class throughout the semester. The paper should take a position on a specific issue and discuss and support your position using facts and statistics. The issue should be very specific so that you can spend the appropriate amount of time supporting your viewpoint. The paper may take a position from the perspective of one of the schools of thought (Rand, Friedman, Keynes, Marx, etc.), but does not have to. You should begin your paper with a Thesis Statement and then the rest of the paper should be focused on supporting your position and/or criticizing opposing viewpoints. It is essential to do your own work and use your own words.
You must submit your term paper by 11:59 pm on the due date. After that time, you will not be allowed to upload the exam. You may overwrite your existing file up until the deadline.
Common points lost:
- Forgetting to include signed statement claiming all your work is your own
- Forgetting to include a bibliography/reference list
- Forgetting to properly cite your work (footnotes, APA, MLA, parenthetical, etc.)
- Not doing spell check and grammar check,
- Not using enough outside sources to support your claims.
